"Bonnie is the friendly face behind Designed For U, Ink, a local Seattle company devoted to high quality, handmade paper goods for any occasion. Most cards feature 3D aspects that pop out with flair and pizazz. And, of course, a fair dose of glitter thrown in for good measure.
She carefully and lovingly hand makes each card for every order. Each pop-out, each glittery reindeer, and each fuzzy mouse. When she first called, I asked her to come into the shop so that we could meet face to face like I do with all of my potential local producers. Most of these producers will come armed with a brochure, price list, and maybe even some samples.
Not Bonnie, though. She came armed with two huge scrapbook albums chock full of handmade cards. You go through the entire album with her as she points out this feature and that feature, each card more unique than the last. I was just blown away by the careful attention that she devotes to each and every card.
Her products definitely represent the complete opposite of mass produced. From gift tags to greeting cards, she has something for every event, holiday, and occasion. My favorite is her Thinker Card featuring Rodin's famous thinking man simply titled "Thinking of You."
